1692 Wasdale Hotel - Gosforth (Cumbria)

Ideal and fairly clean place, fantastic view out to the coast and into Wasdale and the Scafell mountains. Full English breakfast, amazing food, very amiable and attentive staff. Stunning and absolutely perfect position in a very peaceful area. Based right by the Lakes in style and the nearest pubs.

Location: the hotel was just off communal areas, the Lakes in style and the fields. The breakfast was enjoyable, with superb dishes.

I loved that the hotel was just a few steps from St Mary's Church, making it perfect for leisurely walks to admire the beautiful architecture and tranquil park surroundings.

Amazing stay in a beautiful area

The rooms were super clean and cozy, and the bathrooms were great. The breakfast was great too, really nice selection. Plus, you're just a step away from fine walks! It was a bit tricky to navigate. A fantastic spot to relax!

Three nights spent in a fine beautiful suite with immaculate facilities. The warm hospitality from the owners, and we particularly appreciated the delicious breakfasts, which catered perfectly to our dietary needs, including tasty vegan options. The vibrant communal areas enhanced the relaxed atmosphere. A lovely place overall with a wonderful outdoor space for relaxation.

Had the fells suite with a big cozy bath upstairs and amazing views from the patio, just the right spot to enjoy a whiskey after a long hike.

It's not exactly priced like a budget motel but for what you get it's well worth it.

We enjoyed mountain biking and cycling nearby. The place was super comfy. The honesty bar and communal lounge really made our evenings special. Don't miss the chocolate cake on arrival! Perfect spot to relax after a day out.
